Meghalaya Police arrest Haryana man in Rs 9.5L ATM heist at Wapang village
Shillong: Meghalaya Police have arrested a 32-year-old man from Haryana in connection with the April 14 ATM break-in at Wapung village that saw miscreants decamp with Rs 9,57,900 using a gas cutter.An FIR was registered with the Khliehriat Police Station under relevant sections of the BNS and an investigation was started.The accused has been identified as Irsad, alias Rumi, who was part of an active gang of criminals involved in breaking and looting ATM in several districts of the state. He was arrested by Meghalaya Police from Tauru in Haryana with the assistance of Haryana Police, East Jaintia Hills district SP said.
